Nicola Sturgeon, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing launched the Scottish Government's strategy for a healthier Scotland - Better Health, Better Care: Action Plan - on December 12, 2007.
The Action Plan outlined the actions the Government will be taking to improve health. The central themes of the Action Plan are patient participation, improved healthcare access, and a focus on the twin challenges of improving Scotland's public health and tackling health inequalities.
A patient-friendly version of the Action Plan was also published.
